RFA Systems manufactures innovative spectroscopy-based optical instruments for chemical sensing.  Our unique products can be used for combustion research, remote chemical sensing, on-line industrial/pharmaceutical process control, and real-time multi-species molecular gas detection for homeland security and fire-safety applications.  We also provide custom instrument design and fabrication services for your specialized needs.  Our customers include major universities, industrial research and development laboratories, and government laboratories. We offer the only commercially available Real-time Fuel Air (RFA) ratio analyzer with millisecond time resolution. Our main product line, the RFA-2000, a suction-optical-probe (SOP) uses the principle of infrared absorption in conjunction with a small-volume extractively sampled optical cell to provide accurate and high-speed measurements of the fluctuations in fuel-to-air ratios of most hydrocarbons. The RFA-2000 is an alignment-free, rugged and easy to use instrument that has demonstrated itself to be field-deployable and cost-effective. Our new product line – the HRS-12 high-speed imaging Raman spectrograph is designed for real-time multi-channel fiber optic chemical gas sensing in a cost-effective package.  The HRS-12 provides such outstanding performance in a compact and rugged package, that the design is patent pending.
