RFA Systems designs, develops, and manufactures innovative spectroscopy-based optical instruments for: combustion research, remote chemical sensing, industrial process measurement and control, pharmaceutical production control, real-time multi-species molecular gas detection for homeland security and fire-safety applications, and university and government laboratory general R&D. We offer the only commercially available Real-time Fuel Air (RFA) ratio analyzer with millisecond time resolution. Our main product line, the RFA-2000 uses the principle of infrared absorption in conjunction with a small-volume extractively sampled optical cell to provide accurate and high-speed measurements of the fluctuations in fuel-to-air ratios of most hydrocarbons. The RFA-2000 is an alignment-free, rugged and easy to use instrument that has demonstrated itself to be field-deployable and cost-effective. Our new product, the Model R3 Raman engine is a compact and rugged imaging Raman spectrograph with an aperture of f/1.7 which permits a cost-effective and easy-to-use instrument for the measurement of gaseous, liquid, or solid  chemical species using fiber optic probes.
