RFA Systems designs, develops, and manufactures innovative spectroscopy-based optical instruments for combustion research, remote chemical sensing, and industrial process measurement and control. Our design philosophy is simple: “To provide spectroscopy instruments for research and industrial process control that is rugged, reliable, and most importantly, easy to use.”

We currently offer two product lines: (1) The model RFA-2000 real-time hydrocarbon analyzer that provides millisecond temporally resolved measurements of fuel-to-air ration using a simple suction-optical-probe (SOP) principle.  The RFA-2000 permits designers of low-emissions combustors, aircraft engines, and industrial boilers to test their burner concepts for fuel-air mixing efficacy with a simple instrument.  (2) The model R3 compact and rugged Raman spectrograph that is designed to provide the maximum optical throughput and exceptional imaging performance for multi-channel fiber optic Raman probes.
